Our Story:
A Leap of Faith on the Nonquon
My name is Lorraine Kane, and the journey of Riverview Wellness Center began during Covid, when so many people were feeling isolated, overwhelmed, and disconnected from life.
At the time, I had been teaching for just under 20 years. I could see how deeply people needed peace, connection, and something to look forward to.
So I bought four kayaks, said a prayer, and placed a small ad in our local social media bulletin.
What happened next was truly amazing.
People began coming one at a time during the lockdowns. Then five at a time. Then ten. Little by little, what started as four kayaks and a quiet hope began to grow into something much bigger than I ever imagined.
A few years later, that journey expanded into our wellness center, where we now offer services designed to nourish the body, mind, and spirit.
Today, Riverview has become a peaceful haven along the beautiful Nonquon River where people can spend time on the water, relax on the deck after a healing sauna, enjoy Reiki or wellness treatments, reconnect with friends, or celebrate special moments like birthdays and anniversaries.
